Mustache Masters 2024 Announcement:
Over the last five years we’ve been blown away by the community response to the Mustache Masters. Thanks to you our goofy tournament has raised over $100k for Movember thanks to hundreds of players, volunteers, donors, and viewers. We’ve pied faces, shaved heads, and consumed way too much hot sauce all for the cause. Putting on the Mustache Masters every year is a unique joy for all of us, and that’s what makes this next part tough.
We’ve decided to take a break this year and not hold the Mustache Masters in 2024 with an aim to come back strong and ready again in 2025. Organizing the Mustache Masters every year takes a ton of time, effort, and financial investment from us to make it happen. It consumes a great part of our lives from roughly August through the end of the year and part of that is it’s been important to us to make sure that all funds raised went directly to Movember to maximize our impact. With all of that in mind and for a variety of personal reasons, we felt a break this year was necessary for our own wellbeing.
We understand that some will be disappointed by this decision, but we hope that you understand. If you’re wondering how you can still help support the cause of Movember and all that they do, we’d encourage you to run your own campaigns on Movember.com to fundraise. We’ll also keep our page up at mobro.co/stachemasters in case you want to make a donation through it despite there not being an event this year.
We want to take this time to once again thank everyone who has been part of these last five years. Every volunteer who helped with everything from socials, to design, to planning, to bringing it all to life in person. Every player who dove in for a merry weekend of CS in service to the cause. Every viewer who watched our antics and shared them far and wide. And of course every donor who did their part to wax a leg, shave an eyebrow, and for supporting the cause of mental health awareness. Thank you Mustache Masters community. We’ll see you in 2025
Thank you,
The Mustache Masters Team
